*WE NEED THIS CREW FOR THE NBA FINALS.*
We'll get Stephen A taking about LeBron and kyrie instead!!
@Adarsh Nair yeah he'll be doing that along with sellout greeny
Stephen A will ruin it with his annoying ego and constant bias
I wish
No
The Heat played the entire game like they were the ones down by 10+...Love their tenacity and never die attitude.
They got nobody else. They paid him good money and he gotta step out
So right.
@Mamba out who?
Aside from game 4 to 6
PLclip: YUNG GRIZ VS MICHAEL PUNCHLINE
I’m Michael punchline
⚡️⚡️⚡️
Chuck really called everything that was going to happen from game 4 on. Said Boston would smack Miami game 5, then win game 6, then said he was worried that they would continue to jack up 3’s & die by it in game 7. He was absolutely right‼️
Facts
Chuck picked the Celtics every game but game 4 he called nothing
Facts he nailed this series
Yurp.
@Polo22546 Boston didn't beat Miami in game 6, the Refs won that game. Celtics got they @$$ beat by Miami after trying and the Celtics did try but lost to a greater team.
The candor.. the commentary.. the analysis.. the passion.. the perspectives.. the fire.. the flaws.. the comedy.. the cohesion.. it's what makes this TEAM AND this SHOW the absolute BEST in the Media biz. Salute to the ENTIRE CREW from T-Peso!
You made this comment a liiiiitle too dramatic with the length of the list. But it was pretty good.
@jdthnt facts i love the crew but what’s understood doesn’t need to keep being said🤷🏾♂️we know this is the best sports commentary team no need to keep saying it
@Wentwonn Amen!!!
Passion and fire's redundant eh?
But Yessirr the best in the biz
Lol what analysis, they say nothing but platitudes.
Eric Spoelstra is about as good a coach as you're going to get in the NBA. Also a perfect example of not giving up on a coach when the team has a bad year. Other teams in the NBA can learn a lesson or two from how Pat Riley manages the Heat.
are you sure they can learn??
Wow, those are fantastic takes by Chuck and Kenny. What a way to close this season for this crew.
Yeah for real like I’m a Celtics fan but after watching this I realize that we weren’t even that great with the performance we gave…. Chuck and Kenny gave me some perspective there
My Knicks matched up well against the Celtics all year. The Celtics were not a real threat when you watch them play all year
@Elias Paulino that's cool of you I think to realize that, I don't think I've ever seen a more talented team flat out just not play well and are so disorganized, mind boggling still tbh
Chucks is an 1D107 a horrible take on his part.
@timhoward5 what show were you watching, bot, Chuck was spot ok as usual.
Can't believe it's already a wrap for the TNT crew! We won't be seeing them again until October. These four guys were fun to watch. Wish they did the NBA Finals!
I'll watch zero percent of the ABC pregame, halftime or post-game show lol
Same here!!!
Who’s going to watch this finals anyway
@Black Serbia? EU fans? People from Colorado? A lot of Miami fans from the Philippines? Just because a lot of "Murica fans" aren't interested, doesn't mean no one will watch lol
@Black You probably
Shaq quote of the night “shoot another three and I’m punching your face”. Classic Shaq.
which explains why kobe usually made them
@tom murphy SUCH A PERFECT DUO
@tom murphythis comment is hilarious shaq is huge that punch would end a life lol
I cracked up laughing so bad. I love him so much. Celtics and other teams that depend on 3-point shooters to win the playoffs need to listen!
I love Jokic and think he’s the best player in the NBA, but I want the Heat to get this chip so bad. Jimmy Butler and the Heat are the prime example of gritting and grinding your way to victory
I’m okay with either team winning, but Miami is playing against probably the most efficient team this decade. Jokic and Murray just seem to never have bad games. Miami can’t afford for Bam to disappear.
From play - in to the finals!!! What a journey!!! Lets go heat nation!!!🔥🔥🔥
Fr
The train stops here, but great job to the Heat.
@JR AR Don't be so sure... you never KNOW.. Anything possible in this playoffs.
@Maine Lettuce Stop it! The Nuggets are going to smash the Heat! Props to Miami though for making it this far!
Go Nuggets!
TNT should just do a pre-game and post-game show for the NBA finals, these guys would blowout the ESPN crew in ratings
Each one is going to be on NBAtv for post-game analysis.
@Julius35C😮
I dont think they can. ABC has the rights to the finals. I think
Big respect for the Heat, they really deserve the series win. Martin, Vincent and Robinson stepped up and delivered in these playoffs. Now we have an exciting final series on our hand. This will be great.
I LOVE Chuck's point that coaches aren't brought in for great players, they're brought in for the other guys. That's such an incredible, smart take.
Oh please that’s just common sense 😂
And the point about a coach can't give confidence but can take it away. I'm a shooter and ill never need someone else to make me confident in my shot, but the shooting def gets worse when you have a coach that doesn't believe in you and subs you out when you miss a couple.
@MrGenexxx It was common sense that needed to be stated after Shaq's take...
@MrGenexxx He said it so Shaq's stubborn self can get why he says so, it's common sense for everyone else
It’s common sense that is so common you don’t really think about it.
I love how these four legends always able to put up different perspectives even they have same stance or similar opinions, it makes the show so much more in depth, and the funny interactions and characters of them make it so entertaining to watch!
You mean 3 randoms and Ernie
Charles makes a LOT of sense. Coaches give players options.
The thing that was noticeable about Game 7 was that the Celtics were kept on the outside by the Miami defense, and the Celtics were cold from long range. I just laughed everytime the Celtics shots clanked off of the rim from 3 pt range - and the Heat got the rebound. The Celtics were beating their heads against the same wall.
this is best case scenario for me, if denver wins it, its a crown on top of an amazing season with a player who has dropped more triple doubles in the playoffs than some get in the regular season. If miami wins it its the ultimate underdog story of the 8th seed knocking everyone out of the way. Either way you got two players that have proven they are so much better than how people treat them.
Denver nuggets had no experience in the finalsthey will be melted by the Heat.
Jimmy Butler: "I don't call them roll players. I call them teammates." BOOM! 💪
"You either coaching it, or you're allowing it to happen" That part man! My problem all these years with this Celtic team is whenever they get down in the playoffs they go to hero ball. No ball movement, no real plays. It's just ISO ball or shoot.
The Heat are so humble, they let it last 7 games so we could have the TNT crew for longer
Nah they let it last 7 to get revenge for last year's game 7 loss
Right I cant and won’t watch a single pregame, halftime, nor post game show on espn! It’s horrendous with Malika and Stephen A! Only cool one is rich jeff
TNT are levels above that other bunch of melodramatists. 🎉
@CAE Espo Happy to see Rich getting his well deserved flowers
They are cold. They wanted Boston with hope at home and really break them and their spirit. They stole Mazullas soul
Can we have these guys do the whole season? Not just on TNT. They played and understand the game. I could listen to them all the time. And they are humorous. Making me love the NBA again!!!!
Yes, I agree. I watch ESPN games on mute because I can't stand their commentary. What's worse is all of the commercials and wokeness that comes along with being an ESPN/ABC broadcast. Not looking forward to it.
What a truly GREAT effort from the Heat -- Miami sure didn't let that awful game 6 loss affect them when it looked like curtains heading into the finale -- go HEAT !!!
Agreed, keep the coach. The Celtics were down 3 in a best of 7 and found ways to respond, but Kenny is right. It’s incredibly difficult to be perfect for 4 games in a row against a team that’s also getting more familiar against you. Overall the Celtics had a good series, the coach can improve, their assistant coaches can too. Disappointment is a part of the game just as much as winning, and overall Spo, Jimmy, Caleb, Duncan and Bam made the right plays and let their games take off. Losing 3 in a row does that to a team, accompany that w/ Tatum’s unlucky break (ankle) and a poor shooting night from the Celtics and it’s tough to beat that team.
Now the heat face off against a well rested Denver team, so the real battle begins for that organization. I’m calling Denver in 5.
They play defense on every possession and they shoot good shots didn’t miss every time they shot a three they came down and hit a three Boston wasn’t even ready for this team! Congratulations Heat 🎉🏀✌🏾✅
“They gonna be callin him Mr Martin at the bank soon” 😂🙏🏽 Big facts he’s about to get his bag, and well deserved.
remember seeing him play with the Hornets ... liked his game (and his brothers).
nice to see him preform like this on the big stage.
where his brother play now? he still in Charlotte?'
lol they don’t know what theyre talking about, caleb is on a 3 year deal
@سيد Didi I don’t remember where his brother plays. But you are spot on the boy can ball and is developing nicely.
@yunganaxes True, but a 3 year 20 million dollar deal isn’t crazy in the NBA universe. He’s worth more and he’s proven it now.
What a rollercoaster series for Heat. From getting 3% chance of winning to 3-0 up to 3-3 and finally advancing to the Finals ! Fairytale Playoff run! Congratulations Heat fan 👏🏻👏🏻
Fr
Indeed, I hope they don’t scared me like that no mo!🤣
Scripted hence 3-3 = 33 degree freemasons 😂
With that I'm betting the HEAT in 3 baby!
Yeah wild ride . Got to give the heat some props. Thought the would lose in 5 in round 1. And I definitely thought they would get blown out today. Smh Boston needs to regroup
The postgame comments from Coach Spo were incredible. To have that attitude after such a heartbreaking loss is a big reason this team competes like they do
I LOVE Chuck's point that coaches aren't brought in for great players, they're brought in for the other guys. That's such an incredible, smart take. agreed!
I’m happy that Chuck grandkids finally get to see him. Chuck kept saying that he was going to see them but the series kept going and going.
Congratulations Miami Heat 🔥 Great job coach Spoelstra and team.
The Miami Heat, Boston Celtics series felt like a final, amazing games 👏👏👏👏👏
No they did Not.
@Internet 2050 speak for yourself, I felt they did 😉
I agree
@Internet 2050 Well, Denver probably won't have droughts like Boston. Didn't see anything by the Heat that can combat Joker and them. 🔥🧯🃏
Agree
Chuck said it perfectly. The Celtics only relied on talent and that can only get you so far.
U can win on it and they came back from 3-0. But they had 3 games since they lost their coach last year they haven't run a cohesive system
@PAUL Z they didn’t come back from 3-0, they lost.
@JerseyStef well technically they did. They came back from 0-3 and tied it 3-3. They just didn’t win the 4th game to win it all. But they came back from 0-3
@Brandon Santiago thats not "coming back" tho. It's only a comeback if you win the series.
@Brandon SantiagoThey need a lucky bounce with .03 seconds on the clock. They should've lost game 6.
Congratulations to Miami!! Awesome win.
I have respect for Boston in their loss because you have to remember they had two coaches in two years so I believe that loosing Udoka at the beginning had set the tone for a comeback team because he would have installed more versatility and system which championship teams have and they new hinted off in having loosing their coach they respected and Mazzulla was a step in make shift which may not had gotten the same respect of Udoka because they believed in him and he could fix their insufficiencies with time.
Much respect to the heat...yall made us look silly. Good luck in the finals...
"When you got really, really good players, you can make tough shots. You can't survive on tough shots, you survive on open shots, layups, and midrange". Good quote. Seen it time and time again. A team can be LOADED with talent, but the post-season continually exposes these mega-talented teams if they don't have any team chemistry and no ability to switch things up on offense (coaching is obviously an issue there as well).
I think it's time for the Celtics to look for other options. The only player safe is Tatum and even he's not off the table if the right offer is given.
There is nothing wrong with the players, celtics just need better coach who can fine tune them.
I love all 4 of these basketball geniuses, but I really have to give major props to the production crew and the director. I was not able to watch the game last night, but I saw the final score and thought what the H***? I knew that I could just wait until the morning and watch these guys tell me what did and did not happen. : ) Although I am a die-hard Lakers fan (Magic Johnson is now and will forever be my favorite player), I was kind of pulling for Boston. I mean, yeah, Denver outplayed and outhought the Lakers, but I will always have a soft spot for Boston because of the old Magic versus Bird rivalry.: ) As though my opinion on this point matters, I think LeBron should retire, and the Lakers should try to remember who they are. Good grief. Anyhoo, to return to my original point, I got up this morning, made a cup of coffee, and sat down with my phone and headphones to watch and listen to The Inside Guys. So good. Thank you. : ) I have to use headphones because my husband is still sleeping and only pretends to care about basketball sometimes because he loves me. "Happy wife, happy life." Of course, it works the other way as well. : ) Kudos to the sound production. The music during the highlights is inspired. I was dancing in my chair. : ) Finally, I will pin a $20.00 bill to the wall later today. The winner of the series gets the $20.00 bill. I will tell my husband that he has Miami. I am taking Denver. "The Joker" is a psycho in a good way. Thanks, Inside Guys and crew. So D*** good. : )
Man when Chuck's being serious he's actually profound & knowlegdeable, his takes in the latter chunk of the segment are fire. Gonna miss you guys till next yr 😢
There's a BIG reason he's a 4-Time Sports Emmy winner--his consistently great balance of ribald humor, brutal honesty, strong individual character, and high book & street smarts. I honestly think he should be inducted into the media wing of the Naismith Hall Of Fame one day to along with his inductions as a player and part of the '92 Dream Team.
Just don't rely on his game picks.
yeh he sat shaq right down there
"Unfundamentally sound", his spoonerisms strike again!
u talking about the crew instead of the Game-whats with you??
When Chuck picked the Celtics to win before game 7, I had 100% faith Miami was going to the finals😂
GUARANTEE!! 😂
Much better than listening to Stephen A Smith. No shouting! And fun to listen to. And lots of NBA experience between them
Chuck with a basketball masterclass in analysis. He truly sees the game in a special way, no matter how obvious it may seem to be. And playing was just too easy for Shaq. That's a given, but take Phil Jackson out of the equation and you're simply not getting four rings. How many before Phil and Kobe? It's a formula. Spo outclassed Mazzulla in every way.
Congrats to the heat such a solid crew the finals will be great this year🎉
Congrats to the Miami Heat for winning the seventh game and as champions of the Eastern Conference, but they got their hands full against Jokic and the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals. I don't know if Miami Heat has a lot of Gatorade I-V’s in the gas tank or their system, but they going to need it.
"If we going 0/10 from three, imma tell my team, if anyone shoots another three, imma punch you in the face." - Shaq
😅😅😅
Lol guaranteed nobody's shooting the 🏀 not even metta world peace lol 🤣
I'm not a huge BKTB fan . But even i could see spots were Boston had a decent chance for 2 or to drive . And they kept kicking it out for 3.
Strange
Perfect example of hard work and grit, love the heat and i hope they win against Denver
Awesome analysis and GOAT chemistry from the Guys in this clip! Chuck went off at the end there
A great series with the Celtics. Miami, you are my team. Thank you Miami Heat.
My friend and I were talking about this game before it started, and he was all set to see the C's make the impossible comeback, and I had my doubts. I said, Boston will win if they can get Smart and White going, and Miami will win if they can get their bench producing some valuable minutes. Well, Derek White got the memo, but Smart..... he disappeared. Again. And that locked up their ball movement as they struggled, once again, against the zone defense. That's why they jacked up so many contested 3s and sank only 9 for 42 of them, because they couldn't get the Heat out of their formation. Maybe Tatum's rolled ankle took them out of the game, but they've rallied to beat teams when their star goes down before, so that was no excuse. Jayson battled on in spite of the pain, and even led the team in rebounds! Dude was putting in effort, and his teammates let him down.
I'm excited for this Finals matchup. Jimmy Buckets vs Jamal Murray? Bam and The Joker? The chance for Caleb Martin, KCP, Michael Porter Jr, and Max Strus to show out? And all the vets there too - Kevin Love, Kyle Lowry, Jeff Green, and Reggie Jackson. It's refreshing to have 2 teams that nobody projected being here to make it to the Finals. This week is going to be fun to watch.
Congratulations Miami Heat 🥰🥰
It's a shame the Inside Guys don't cover the Finals 😭😭 thanks Chuck for sticking up for Caleb in many people's eyes he should've have been ECF MVP
No he should not, JB was better in all 7 games, C had a couple good games.
Naaah if its not for Jimmy Miami will not pass first Round look at what have jimmy Done against Bucks come on!
@keithlott5146 he was consistent, but Jimmy butler was better I think it was close tho.
@Keith Lott he was consistent in his role Jimmy had great 4th quarters but he had some bad games as well
MVP of what? Martin played lights out but jimmy carried them most games
Congrats to the Miami Heat. ❤
We do need to thank the Celtics for giving us a few more shows from the TNT crew
Love this crew! Can’t believe we won’t be seeing them again! It’s criminal
Good riddance to them.
Its time this crew does the finals. They are easily the best media group that covers the NBA.
Chuck...a troll and a basketball genius at the same time
Out of all people, it was Caleb Martin who sealed the series. This is legendary.😂
I said the same thing he went Jordan mode
Yup. Dude is a pretty solid player and will have a decent career.
@Kenneth Robinson at this point, he was better than Poole. Gsw overpaid that dude by miles
He’s been consistent
He should have won the mvp
Chuck consistently says the smartest things on this show, always just level headed.
THANK YOU!!!
Shame for The Heat they couldn't win in 6 games or less. Now they only get 2 days off before flying to Denver and starting the finals while The Nuggets have been resting up for over a week. This will really be a test of their physical fortitude, especially playing at that high altitude.
Tremendo análisis, one of the best after the game report/analysis so far🏀
Watch Jason Timpf, he's great.
Shaq and Chuck are the absolute best. Normally change the channel whenever it’s any halftime show. Not for Chuck and the boys, love to watch em
10:12 “Shoot another 3, I’m punching you in the face” 😂😂 #ShaqDiesel
And THIS is the difference between these guys the Miami Heat and my team the Sixers. U got warriors on the Heat, that start with the coach. Hearing these guys at the press conference after Game 6 talking like their ready for war gave me goosebumps. Meanwhile my team, lead by 2 gutless stars in Embiid and Harden, literally quit in Game 7 after Boston took their heart in Game 6. That's the difference between guys that want to win and hate losing, and guys that are just ready to go on vacation.
Mostly agree as a fellow sixers fan, but I think Boston was just better than Philly and signing Tobias to the max is the most under talked about reason as to why we always come up short.
Heat fan here and couldn’t agree more. I’m a big fan of Embid but what I saw from him last series was depressing. Even blaming his teammates. Not himself. When Joel starts to take responsibility, get in actual NBA playing shape, use his massive size and destroy defenders in the post and midrange and stop taking 3’s, also get rid of Harden who thought it was a good idea to go to Vegas in the middle of that series, only then will the 76ers live to their potential.
Man I’m glad you said it Embid deserves Lebron level heat for straight up QUITTING and suppose to be the MVP. Didn’t care at all. Honestly I lost so much respect for em after that presser I don’t think he that guy.
And he can take that regular season only MVP. Playoffs is where your legacy is made
@Lucky889 S and we all know that Jokic should have been the MVP again but that fire that Perkins started with making it a race thing, then every black player in the league coming out and pushing for Embid to get it is what tilted that in Embid’s favor.
The Celtics, just like the Sixers, get discouraged when shots stop falling and things start to not go there way. They get down on themselves and their leadership isn't there. Miami plays like it's Game 7 of the NBA Finals every single possession and they have a culture that will not accept anything less. That's the difference between a great organization and team versus teams that solely rely on star power and feel entitled to winning.
Inside the NBA needs to be aired throughout the season and postseason
Chuck was absolutely right. How does Boston lose with two All-NBA players and the defensive player of the year and the sixth man of the year? I looks like there might be another coaching spot opening soon.
We need they commentary for the finals. MAKE IT HAPPEN
what an IN-DEPTH discussion and what a great win by MIAMI HEAT !!!!!!!
This Heat squad is having one of the most memorable postseason runs we have seen in a while...if not ever and probably won't see again anytime soon . I mean, in these playoffs, Miami has
Lost first play-in game to Hawks
- Beat Bulls in play-in finale for No. 8 seed
Knocked out No. 1 seed Bucks in 5
-
Beat No. 5 seed Knicks in 6
- Beat No. 2 seed Celtics in ECF
- First play-in team to make the finals
-Second No. 8 seed to ever make the finals
I'm not a fan of the team, but it's hard not to be impressed with what they've done so far 🤷🏽
Historic run. If they somehow beat the Nuggets it wont only be the greatest run in basketball history but perhaps in sports history.
@T W some people still might say Dirks 2011 run but I would definitely put this run over it if they find a way to be Denver!
What they have achieved so far is already legendary. Win or lose the finals, this play in Heat team is the greatest this season in my book
This Miami Heat run is similar to New York Knicks runs 1999 but I say 1999 was better Latrell Sprewell run himself to kick out the NBA until having all Star MVP type was amazing don't Allen Houston Marcus Camby and Larry Johnson play as well
@Ryan Johnson do you English?
Chuck is the best ever! Great way to end this vid. Go Heat🔥
Boston's biggest problem is Boston. After losing to GSW in the finals I thought it would fuel them more than it did. For me, imo it's a lack of mental toughness and experience. It's like they forgot how to play. I feel like Boston had the better match up all around to beat Denver.
That is where coaching comes into play and last year Udoka did a good job of preparing this young core. Unfortunately, Mazzula couldn't do the same.
@Cali I agree. I'm sure it was tough for them losing their hc but they shouldn't have looked to in experienced after being in the finals.
Good point people like Shaq say Coaches don’t matter much but the best ones like Spo do!
Miami's attitude tells it all. They were ferocious and had so much energy compared to the Celtics.
I though Bam was very important for this series, helping JB score, but he had one or two beyond average games. Caleb Martin was HUGE for Miami. They avenged last seasons loss to the Celtics.
Unbelievable crew. These guys are the best on tv.
Chuck response to Shaq’s take on coaching was perfect. “A coach can’t give you confidence, but he can take it away” 💯
No sense at all.A coach is like a psychologist,if he knows his way with words,he can make you believe in yourself.
@Alex Nechifor I think what he meant was that when a player feels himself, you just let them be them instead of micromanaging. Rarely can a coach turn around a terrible shooting night tho...
@Cam James makes more sense xdd
OR Joe Maloser is just a below average coach for one of the most laughably overrated teams in the last 10-15 years
@Alex Nechifor "he can make you believe in yourself" - Coaches are for the OTHERS and not for SUPERstars.
SUPERstars already believe in themselves.
Media THROWS around SUPERstars so lightly on players who are CLEARLY NOT!
Congratulations to Jimmy Butler for working so hard for Miami. Just like Lebron bringing 2 rings to Miami. Hope Jimmy will do the same it's been 10yrs.😂😂❤❤❤❤
Jimmy takes trolling to another level, intentionally forcing game 7 so he can send Celtics on vacation in their home court, while winning the WCF MVP in front of the Celtics home crowd. 🤣🤣
"The most inconsistent talented team" that was 100% on point
This whole series Chuck has been saying “they need to stop jacking up threes” and he was right in the end.
Tatum getting hurt didn’t help but Miami played a perfect game against Boston. The Nuggets will be their toughest matchup so far. Great job Crew I’ll miss you all.
This is arguably one of the best playoff runs in NBA history and it's not even over.
Not a heat fan at all, but I'm pulling for that team.
Same coming from a spurs fan baby beautiful to see
@Swervo150funny thing as a heat fan, it looks like coach spo is trying to model this team approach after the 2014 spurs. Which till this day that was the best series I’ve seen a team play. They destroyed us that year and with ball movement, defense and a 3 point barrage from Danny green lol with kawhi and Tony Parker driving that offense
They not beating nuggs. East weak in scoring
@boxamillion Gabe Vincent and Caleb Martin giving Patti Mills and Danny Green vibes
Danny I'm glad I finally have the finals I always wanted where I don't really care who wins it as either deserves it. I'm at 55--45% tho in terms of who I'd rather see win it.
Denver has 0 chips, so that gives them a little.
as to the "odds", I think (am afraid) Denver will steamroll them, but I hope we'll see a 7 game series
I think none of us predicted these two teams in the finals 😂😂😂
Charles is absolutely right. Switch Spo coaching this specific team I can see them winning in 5-6 max. They settle so much.
All credit to the Heat! Jimmy Butler and Caleb Martin were amazing. But what in the world were the celtics doing the whole game , forcing really hard jumpers and 3s.... they did it to themselves. Never settle down and just start jakcing up 3s for no reason
I'm glad they told something I kept believing in that 3pts era and young players need to ear that. Attacking the paint, mid range, pick and roll, this is basic basket ball and they need this. How on the earth is Tatum the only one capable of that on the Celtics? And I agree, it's a coach responsibility to say "stop shooting" and change the play. A coach is supposed to have a bunch of strategies, that he can change during the game. Miami has a great coach. Using Bam a point guard, changing the defense, he just kept adjusting their game through all the playoffs. I still don't understand how an NBA coach, will have his team playing the same when it doesn't work?
Congrats to Miami, they deserve it.
Two beloved teams in the Finals, first time in the history i think.
Chuck nailed it. I learned the same thing as a kid. Never change a winning game, always change a losing game. The coaches job is to make changes, not sit and watch. If your best doesn't work, try something else.
celtics coach will be be fired before next season. it's his job to make adjustments according to how the game is going. when they almost lost game 6 by shooting like 20% from 3, he cant have them go into game 7 shooting from 3 at high volume again.
Even after 3 straight wins forcing a gane 7 I thought he should be fired.
Just listen to his post game interviews ( especially after game 6)
Game 7 too.
He's stubborn, contrarian, in over his head.
But you should change a winning game. Just because you won, doesn't mean you played bad.
You can make mistakes even when you win. You can have a lot of fundamental errors. The other team can play a lot worse than you, and you got lucky. Always look for the opportunities to correct the weaknesses in the game so you don't need to fix the problems in a losing game. Never let up. Champions don't wait to be down to improve. They hunt at all times.
@THE lone wanderer I'm assuming you meant DIDN'T play bad. I see your point, but I was thinking more about performance on the day against a particular opponent. Not the process overall, or even the strategy in a series or one big game. Charles was talking about both. Shaq was focused more on within a game. I agree with Barkley that a coach needs to organize his team overall based on its strengths and weaknesses then adjust during a game or series. Based on match-ups or having an off day.
There's a great example in golf. Ben Hogan used to lead tournaments, get tired and hook the ball out of bounds during the final rounds. He eventually changed his grip so it was virtually impossible to hook the ball. Golfers are taught to adjust during the round and fix the problem later on the range. In other words deal with the way you're playing today. Of course sticking with failure paid off against the 76ers. But did that strategy work or was Philly just a bad team?
Celtics blew it big time. Congrats to the heat. It’s time to make some changes in Boston…
So frustrating watching teams just run down and take long jumpers over and over. Passing up open lanes and opportunities to drive. It's like the nba has regressed back to 1950 or something. The product is just awful today.
Edit: Coach Mazzulla should be fired. 8:22 Teams need to adjust if the shot isnt falling. Embarrassing lack of good coaching. Shaq's take after is spot on.
I hope the Heat can take the whole thing would be great but Denver is on another level right now.
I actually like when they're not joking around so much and discuss things with their knowledge as former players. The end was good when they were talking about coaching. I always wonder how much a coach actually affects the game. Interesting to see Shaq says it doesn't matter that much and chuck disagreeing completely. And Kenny with the "a coach can't give a guy confidence, but he can take it away"
If you want to see great coaching and coaching impact in the game, watch Euroleague.
It's true, a coach will have a very small impact on a player like Kobe, but on a player like Vanderbilt or Cam Johnsons the coach can nearly dictate when they will pop off if they are great like coach SPO is.
Definitely need the TNT Crew for the Finals.
Congratulations Miami!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I hope Jimmy could pull it off this year and win it all ✊🏿💯
I love Charles, and I must say near the end of the video this was Charles' best insight I've heard in a very long time.
I like Miami Heat 🔥🙏🏻 iam praying for them to win the championship 🏆 glad you won no matter how many people mad those guys on all team's try they don't deserve to be talked bad about basketball 🏀 is not easy ppl that talk 💩 can't even play basketball 😂 half the time
Congratulations to Coach Spo and the Miami Heat !!!! It was a great series. Hope and pray that the Heat wins the Championship. They are the perfect example of grit and hard work
I doubt they will against the Nuggets
@madduxno331 You never know, man, you never know 😂
@madduxno331Miami has been doubted all playoffs. But I agree. Denver is another animal.
Miami is an insane BEAST😈
@madduxno331 Miami has been doubted all playoffs lol nothing has changed
Congrats to the heat for winning the Eastern Conference I feel people don’t value Conference championships enough it’s hard to be the best of 15 teams!!! With that being said I have the Nuggets winning the NBA Championship Nikola Jokic is the best player in the world
One of the greatest comebacks in NBA history! Wow
Well deserved @Miami🎉
This series perfectly encapsulates the Celtics season. Sometimes they look like the best team in basketball. Sometimes they're the biggest group of underachievers known to man. The consistency to win 4 straight was just never there.
I knew jimmy will get his revenge after last year series. And tbh i am impressed that the team managed to get to the second finals in four years with this roster.
I'm not, it should have been 3 out of 4 with getting one chip out of it.
