@M R it's crazy how the NFL has so many great crews in various networks but the NBA really only has TNT that's worth watching. Although I do find the duo of Van gundy and Mark Jackson pretty funny.
And that’s why I never watch NBA finals! Just not the same without these guys.

Dan Thomas is basically the king of banter, Steve takes it to the chin every time and Craig usually never stops with the bants. The chemistry between Shaka and all the guys is truly something else.

I really appreciate how the Inside cast respects their crew so much. There's a lot of livelihoods reliant on these guys and they seem to know a lot of their names, and carry a tremendous amount of gratitude for them. It may not seem like much but this is live TV, and I'd imagine very stressful, and we've seen other shows (like some late night hosts) who treat their staff as second class people.
they rely on each other not just one way
The fact that these guys are comfortable roasting their boss says a lot about the environment this show operates in. Inside seems like an awesome show to work for
to be fair, thes guys were superstars, had their own money before this gig, not really their "boss"

@mctreasure He's absolutely their boss, he runs the show that they're contracted to. He made games covered by inside the most anticipated games of the week every season for over 20 years, he'll be missed and I hope he has a great retirement.

@ComptonCryptoCurrencyhow thick can you be, these guys made millions PLAYING basketball and not covering it as broadcasters/analysts. They obviously have to be instructed in some fashion by someone. Just because they’re rich doesn’t mean they can come on the show and mouth off, it’s called professionalism. Look it up.

In a time where most shows are clinically produced to the point of being sterile, these uncles keep it real and remind us of the important things in life.
They make it a point to laugh at themselves and everyone else, ain't afraid to say what they mean and stick to the facts even if unpopular, and most importantly honour those around them (like TK here).
It's a no brainer why their show transcends basketball. They truly enjoy their time together and welcome us to join in their banter and lives.
They all deserve a great break. Happy retirement TK!

Wow TK retiring? This man really changed sports TV (there's a feature on when he decided to do everthing opposite of what ESPN did with Ernie back in the 90s). He's really the goat.

Soon as TK said "1-2-3, not 1-2 back to 1," I cracked up. 😂 This is seriously one of the greatest -- if not *the* greatest -- sports shows ever created, and that's because they have the one thing you cannot buy: chemistry.
I just got into the NBA thanks to these guys, and followed up on watching the documentary seeing how this is TK's baby. Truly the show is nothing without those guys. Thank you for your service TK.

Huge props to the legendary Shaq, Kenny and Chuck. Imagine sitting around a table with superstars acting like regular people and showing appreciation for someone else's work. Missed opportunity to say "BOAT" along with the aquatic theme when they said TK was the best of all time. Really amazing to see such humble leadership from these former NBA greats.

Through out the years Earnie, Chuck, Kenny, and Shaq have become a treasure to me, it took a minute to warm up to Shaq but it didn't take long to see how great he was and the chemistry between you guys. The NBA and us fans are lucky to have you! The part that is sad is that its tuff for me to watch todays NBA but I still watch you guys and always will and hopefully the NBA will get interesting again and you guys will still be around so i can have the best of both worlds once again!

Honestly, they should be in all the playoff games and the finals game...period. They are the best at what they do and very much fun and enjoyable to watch and listen to.

Inside is the best show on tv. Not just sports show, but show period. Its better than the actual games. TK was the architect, got the perfect personalities and supported them enough to let them just do their thing without interference or censorship. Really a tribute to his leadership behind the scenes.

I work in for local tv sports and in a truck and the producer and director are huge parts of the show i hope the crew stays strong

People working behind the scenes on Inside are retiring now and it's only a matter of time before it's Ernie, Chuck, Kenny and Shaq's turn. Man.. when that happens, I'm gonna really miss this entire crew. I really hope down the line, there's gonna be a reunion of sorts but that's a bit selfish of me, given that they're all over the age of 50 now.

A harsher reality is that we won't be seeing Ernie, Chuck, Kenny and Shaq for long too. They're all over the age of 50 now and it's only a matter of time now before they start to retire one by one.

I think it’s pretty obvious to anyone higher up at TNT that TKs formula works excellently and that they’d basically be getting the new producer to refine what was already there.
I imaging Shaq, Ernie, Kenny, and Chuck would give TNT some push back if the new producer tried to take the show a different direction.
