It’s crazy man… I really thought this was gonna be a day Boston made history. I wanted to believe like I have since the Knicks series but this felt like the beginning of the Bucks series where there was no shot. Caleb Martin is a monster and he as well as Gabe Vincent and Duncan Robinson has been really great in this series. Shoutout to them. I hope we can put up a good fight against the Nuggets.

Man I love Murray and Joker but Himmy deserves a ring. Would cap off one of the most amazing stories of basketball. A kid who had to fight for everything, almost had it all, 1 seed, nba finals appearance and lost, comes in through the play-in, makes the 8th seed and is back in the finals? Perseverance at its finest
During the LeBron era I hated Spoe and the Heat, mainly because they were that good and gave my Bulls a lot of heartache, similar to how I viewed the Spurs and Pop in the early years of their dynasty. But Spoe has grown on me and I have nothing but respect and admiration for this great coach. His speech post game 6 made me feel that the Heat went into game 7 as the favourites even though they were going on the road to one of the most hostile arenas to travel to. What a team!
Pat knew what he was doing when he gave Spo the keys. As a Heat fan I didn't see the vision either but he has obviously proven to be one of the best ever

The BEST thing about this 7 game series is that we had MORE time with Ernie, Kenny, Chuck, & Shaq!! I'm gonna miss these guys over the summer😢 In "do or die" moments on the court, Jayson either gets lucky (given the opponent) or he folds like laundry... It's always one or the other, & it doesn't help when other key players don't step up when Jayson can't deliver (especially due to injury)... Miami has MORE heart, & that's why they won!

Also Jayson Tatum is 25 years old. He can only grow and learn from these moments and get better. He's accomplished more at 25 year old than most 35 year olds in the NBA.

The great thing about the upcoming finals is that it's between two teams that aren't always the top pick to win for most people--especially the media. It's gonna be a good series.
If someone were to ask me, I’d say we got a #1 seed finess(ish) team in the Nuggets vs a battle tested 8 seed in Miami.
Yes Denver has faced adversity too but the Heat come across as the tougher team that has finesse and skill while Denver can play tough when they need to but play a more finesse style compared to the Heat. I say all that to say Heat in 6 mainly because if they can put this amount of points against Boston I don’t think Denver can hold them.
I’m predicting a 115 ppg average for Miami. Denver will put up some points in a game or two but the D for Miami will hold them to 105 ppg.

If Tyler Herro can manage to come back even by Game 2, the Heat can make it a very interesting series against the Nuggets. Of course, they'd have to find an answer to Jokic who looks borderline unstoppable.
And that's why Miami will get swept. Nuggets are a physical team. They'll body up Herro.
But if Herro and the Heat hit a lot of 3s maybe they'll win.

The Heat knew they would never live a loss in Game 7 after being up 3-0 down. It would have been a black mark on their record as a franchise for life. Plus, Erik Spoelstra may have gotten fired and Jimmy Butler may have gotten traded if Boston had won tonight and gone to the Finals--beating Miami two years in a row in the Eastern Conference Finals in the process. So good for Miami. And who knows what the outcome would have been had Tatum not injured himself. Plus, the fact that with the exceptions of Games 3 and 5, every single win in this series occurred on the road. That says something.
I'm actually it happened Tatum got hurt because it exposed Boston's weaknesses as a team. The Celtics will need to make changes to improve and learn from this experience.

When a team tries to overcome a 3-0 deficit, it comes at a cost, fatigue which could result in injury is a real possibility. Then the mental strain takes its toll at some point in the game, it could happen both ways but the biggest takeaway is the stability of the head coach. Boston is pure talent but the coach is not at par with that talent.

Caleb Martin was the MVP tonight and throughout this series. The Celtics hurt themselves with bad shot selection, turnovers and lack of defensive identity. Their 2 best players didn’t play well at all tonight, and they were really inconsistent throughout this series
