Nuggets Vs Heat would honestly have a great storyline. Nuggets would be in the finals for the first time ever in franchise history and a chance to go 1 in 1 in the finals Vs if the Heat win it. It will be the most historic single run ever. It will be the second time an eighth seed got to the finals and the first time they won it. Jimmy Butler would finally get a well earned ring.
Nuggets will win though so no.
No matter who wins in a Nuggets vs Heat finals it will be historic. Either Nuggets get first franchise win, or JB gets a HUGE redemption arc plus a possible record of the #8 seed beating BOTH #1 seeds.

Murray made a bounce pass on the 3pt line to jokic on the free throw line, then jokic made bounce pass to Aaron Gordon under the basket and he was swarmed and fouled after a fake, it's really rare you see 2 bounce passes consecutively in a chain- and even more special that it leads to points, I dare anybody to find a double bounce pass play in the playoffs that led to points, find it and come in here and link it in this chat I wanna see it cause I don't think I've ever seen that before in a playoff game

Malone is just giving sentiments as to what most non-Laker fans are feeling about the media's treatment to anything about the Lakers. I swear there isn't a day that passes by that something is being tackled about them over other (NBA) matters. Just goes to prove that they are the "darling" of that league. And I'm glad someone like him is starting to call out the media for being bias and disrespectful to other teams like the Nuggets.
Well, the Lakers are the biggest money-making team for the league, with the biggest money-making superstar. Like the Brady-Patriots, Cowboys, Yankees of the past, etc, no one is neutral about LA...either they are loved or hated, which means EVERYONE is spending tv time or ticket money to see them. Of course the league and sports-networks are biased; we shouldn't expect businesses to be unbiased when it comes to their money. Like all the new, lower-market contenders that came before them, Denver will have to beat the refs and the media to win their first chip. The good news is, the Nuggets are good enough compared to everyone else to do it, and Malone is saying what he needs to say in order to facilitate them doing it.

A denver-miami finals would be a great series in terms of just pure team basketball headed by 2 playoff mvps. As a lakers fan, there is no shame losing to the nuggets. They have already overachieved, considering how the season started.
It’s not like lakers have a bright future, time is ticking for browns career. If they don’t win this year, It won’t look good on brons resume, not to mention he’s getting old.

I am a lakers fan and I never give up on my team. But it feels like the nuggets are too much for us. If you remember the 2020 conference finals, we had Dwight and Mcgee doing lot of work against Jokic which allowed AD and Lebron to score and focus less on stopping Jokic. Now we don't have that luxury and also Lebron is not the same as he is older and cant keep up the score like he did in 2020.

I think it's mostly because people aren't sure what to think of Jokic in the playoffs. It's hard to believe in a team when you have no idea what you're gonna get in the playoffs from the star player. I just don't see how any other team can beat them. They are so deep and play like a team. Heat have depth and crazy 3pt shooters so they got a chance if they all get hot.
